2009 Student Fundraising Goal: $225,000
In the midst of our UniCamp Student Volunteer's 100 hours of training, they somehow manage to find a weekend to sleep out on campus and continue training and bonding with fellow UniCamp Student Volunteers. Please join us in sponsoring these students that are sacrificing their time to make tomorrow a better world.
This year's student created Statement of Purpose is:
"A community of campers and counselors who are continually inspired through confronting personal challenges, sharing diverse experiences, and forming genuine relationships to shape the world around them.
Inspired Volunteers, Inspiring Campers.
All proceeds from this event go towards sending under-served youth to camp this summer. Last year the students raised nearly $212,000; the most ever raised by the UniCamp Student Volunteers. The UCLA student’s goal this year is to raise $225,000. This will help pay the way for over 400 of our campers this summer.
Please join us in this great cause. UniCamp is a tradition at UCLA that has lasted over 75 years and has helped tens of thousands of kids from the Los Angeles area and has seen thousands of volunteers. Every year there are hundreds of under-served children that don't get a chance to dream of their future and even worse, they're told that they won't have a chance for a bright future. Help us provide these kids with the tools to demystify this myth and give them the chance to dream big and succeed. Thank you in advance for your interest and your contribution.
